As a Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation with a national presence, AWIC is dedicated to empowering women to pursue fulfilling careers in the construction industry.

Thanks to the generous funding support from Community Bank Samford, we are excited to announce the launch of our innovative program designed to equip female high school students (grades 10, 11, and 12) with the necessary skills and opportunities to thrive in the construction sector.

This program will be delivered throughout the 2026 calendar year in the Samford, Pine Rivers, and Moreton Bay Regions.

The Securing Futures program will engage and empower participants through hands-on activities, helping them explore new career possibilities and unlock their hidden talents.

The program offers a range of opportunities, including:

  • White Card Training
  • Trade Try Out Programs
  • Driving lessons for students in need
  • Career Expos

Program ‘Under Construction’ and will be available at the beginning of the 2026 School Year
