Awesome Women in Construction (AWIC) are excited to be holding our fourth annual awards in October 2025. These awards will provide the platform for all awesome women in construction to be recognised for the contribution they make to this industry every single day.

As the future of our industry, Young Achiever under 18 is a young woman who demonstrates a commitment to her work, a passion for the industry and is inspiring other young women as they progress their career through training, or apprenticeship.
As the future of our industry, Young Achiever 18 – 23 is a young woman who demonstrates a commitment to her work, a passion for the industry and is inspiring other young women as they progress their career through training, or apprenticeship.
As the future of our industry, Young Achiever 24 – 28 is a young woman who demonstrates a commitment to her work, a passion for the industry and is inspiring other young women as they progress their career through training, or apprenticeship.
Young Leaders are selected by AWIC’s board from the Young Achiever nominees. We recognise them as inspiring leaders who have a track record of inspiring others, overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for others with their people leadership skills.
This business has created pathways, programs and investment opportunities that “Count Women In”. There is a demonstrable investment into either woman in the workforce, through recruitment, training, mentoring or education.
These leaders believe that their people are their greatest asset. They strategically invest in their team and the community around them that fuels loyalty and sustainable high performance.
A leader in small business that is the beating heart of their operation. An exceptional manager who demonstrates their ability to pivot, lead and follow through to ensure their team and customers succeed.
These nominees are recognised as inspiring leaders in their field who have a track record of leading, forging new paths, creating opportunities for others and fusing their professional capabilities with their people leadership skills.
AWIC’s advocate of change is a man who is actively bringing about change in their sphere of influence in construction. They are passionate about their cause of gender equity in construction and use their influence to create positive change. They may also be involved in lobbying, organizing events, and leading campaigns to bring about the desired change.
Sales superstars have the runs on the board and relationships to be proud of. They are high performers AND amazing human beings who care about how their company does business and finding creative ways of delivering results in an ever-changing market.
Outstanding woman in trade describes a woman who has achieved success in any field related to commerce, business, or trade. This includes women who have excelled in entrepreneurship, finance, accounting, international trade, marketing, logistics, supply chain management, and other related fields.
These women have made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields.
Outstanding woman in machinery describes a woman who has achieved success in any field related to machinery – this may include training, operations or sales. These women have made significant contributions and demonstrated leadership, innovation, and excellence in their respective fields.
This is a woman who has made an exceptional contribution to the construction industry through the implementation or innovation of new processes, procedures, products and systems. This can include fields of Law, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
