Talk to all Rookies about respect, inclusion, and diversity in the workplace. Followed by a Women in Trade morning tea and industry panel discussion.

Friday 7th March – AWIC International Women’s Day Lunch
Invite up to 25 students participating in school-based apprenticeship/internship, Full time apprentices and high school students studying construction-based subjects.
Outcome: To show young ladies looking to enter or who have entered the construction industry that there are like minded women and men, to support their journey
Wednesday 12th March – All Female Industry Showcase (Try-a-trade)
This event will be held in collaboration with CSQ, Alder Construction and AWIC. Highlighting roles within the construction industry with a focus on trade and professional roles. Activities being finalised. Activities will include 20 female students from Hillcrest College, Gold Coast
Friday 21st March – Canterbury College Expo
With a focus on Year 9 and 10 students, this event will provide students with the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning activities with industry and tertiary providers so that students can learn more about your industry and experience a sample of what is involved.
Friday 28th March – Ipswich Region Business Careers and Jobs Expo
The 2025 Ipswich Region Business, Careers & Jobs Expo will connect business and industry with current and future job seekers, customers, other businesses and business and employment support services.
