Apprentice plumbers assist with all regular duties of the job, and their supervisors will take the time to teach them and pass on valuable information. Generally, apprentices are responsible for things like bringing tools to a job site, supplying materials, cleaning up and other duties requested.
Assessing damage on stormwater drains and checking for signs of wear and tear such as cracking or leakages.
Dissembling and assembling values, pipes and fittings.
Installing bathroom fixtures such as piping, wash basins, toilets and sprinkler systems.
Repairing air-conditioning systems.
Skills / Experience:
Strong attention to detail
Ability to problem solve
Liaise with clients
Enjoy manual work
Good hand-to-eye coordination
Study Pathway / Education Requirements:
4 year Apprenticeship
