The duties of a leading hand may include: Coordinating and managing material handling, plant/equipment and site delivers; Assisting the Site/Project Manager with supervision and coordination of trade works; Direction and monitoring of sub-contractors, suppliers and plant hirers; Ensuring all workers are site inducted; Maintaining a clean, safe, secure and presentable construction site at all times; Assisting with WHS implementation; Conducting effective area team meetings such as pre-starts and actively participate in toolbox talks and other site and/or zone meetings.
