Bricklayers lay bricks, pre-cut stone and other types of building blocks in mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures. A Bricklaying Apprenticeship will see you working alongside an experienced Brickmason to support and mentor you while gaining comprehensive knowledge and experience in the industry. Some of the responsibilities of the role include: Use hand and power tools. Handle and prepare bricklaying materials. Use of bricklaying tools and equipment. Work on uneven surfaces, travel up/down ladder and at heights. Remove rubbish and clean site. Follow OHS policies and procedures. Carry out measurements and calculations. Read and interpret plans and specifications.
