Accountant
Accountants are responsible for providing support to the Financial Controller and wider finance team by providing effective and efficient processing of accounting data within the organisation ensuring financial requirements are completed accurately and in line with set timeframes whilst ensuring compliance to company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Accurately prepare financial documents such as, but not limited to, invoices; bills; and purchase orders.
2. Verify financial statements, ledgers, and accounts, making corrections where appropriate
3. Assisting with budgets, budget reviews and forecasting reports 4. Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting cost and departmental coding
5. Managing the internal workflows for approval of purchase orders and invoices
Skills & Experinece:
Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel and Accounting packages (Xero experience is desirable) Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles Knowledge of general accounting principles, budgeting, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail with ability to prioritise work
Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information and figures
Study Pathway:
Bachelors Degree in Business: Major in Accounting
