When most people outside the construction industry picture what the typical workplace looks like, they generally think of a group of men in hardhats and hi-vis. The reality, however, can be very different – especially for women.

Awesome Women in Construction (AWIC) was founded by Amanda Bulow after she realised many women in the industry felt as she did – professionally isolated doing the work they loved. Amanda decided to see if there was enough interest in connecting with other like-minded women, and there was. As a result, she founded AWIC in 2017. . . . . .
